Latest Update On Nigeria’s OJB Jezreel the Journey So Far

OJB Jezereel the music producer responsible for such big beats like 2face’s African queen is right now in India being prepped for sugery, last month he left the shores of Lagos Nigeria for India to undergo a kidney transplant up till now he hasn’t done it, according his relative the delay in the transplant was necessary to enable OJB undergo several pre-transplant treatment before the main surgery. He has now concluded all necessary medical tests.

Brief history Of OJB Jezreel Illness

OJB whose full names are Babatunde Jezreel Okungbowa popularly known as OJB Jezreel hails from Nigeria West Africa, he has 3 wives and a large family, he’s a popular Nigerian producer and artist who has produced many hits and has a hand for the success of Tuface debut album.

Early July he was diagnosed with a kidney problem and was undergoing treatment at a private clinic in Lagos Nigeria, according to reports he initially kept the illness secret, but eventually he opened up especially when it was found out he needed money and a donor.

Things started brewing up early June, when OJB failed to show up as a judge in a talent hunt competition organized by K Solo tagged “D experience” scheduled to kick off on June 5 2013, but he called to put it off. At the time of his sickness he was reported to be working on the remix of all songs on 2face’s debut album “Grass to Grace” but he kept production on hold.

From Lagos hospital to India

When it finally went public, it was revealed that he needed about 100,000 United States dollers and a donor he found a donor easy, but finding money proved to be what kept him a Lagos hospital longer than necessary. In followed a period of intense waiting for other popular Nigerian music artists like Whizkid, Banky W, P.square, etc Nollywood actors and actress like Cossy Orjiakofor, Mercy Johnson, Jim, Tonto Dike etc and other Nigerians like River State Governor Rotimi Amaechi to step in and fund the bill.

OJB finally raised the $100,000 in fact it was reported that he over raised the money. Armed with over 100,000 dollers, his donor and wife OJB set out for India from Lagos. There he was to undergo the kidney transplant, but he hasn’t because of the above mentioned. Goodnews though he’s to undergo surgery in a few days time.
