Literary Interpretation of Educational Technology

Education technology can be explained by providing the literal

interpretation of the two major concepts of ''Education'' and

''technology''. The term ''education'' means a process of teaching,

training and learning especially in schools or colleges to improve

knowledge and develop skills.

Education can also be regarded as that which is given to an individual

to make him develop socially, intellectually and morally as to allow

for his or her personal overall development and the development of the

community in which he or she finds himself or herself.

''Technology'' can be defined as a body of knowledge which when used

or applied helps in solving problems. One can then infer, from the

literal point of view that educational technology means ''application

of a body of knowledge to solving educational problems.
