WAAW Scholarship

Every year WAAW (Working to Advance African Women (WAAW) Foundation) Foundation offers $500 in scholarship to qualifying girls in STEM Education at the University level. Since inception, many girls have benefited from the scholarship: 4 from Kenya, 2 from Nigeria, 1 from Uganda, 1 from Malawi and 1 from Cameroon. These girls were able to demonstrate need for the scholarship and also provided proof of current University and course of study.

Scholarship dateline Application will in November 2013.

Scholarship eligibility i. Applicant must be female and an African student living and studing in the continent.
ii. Must currently enrolled in the University studying STEM related courses.
iii. Demonstrable financial need, and iv. Excellent Academic Record.
v. Below the age of 32 years.

The scholarship aims among other things, To increase the pipeline of African women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) related disciplines and work to ensure that this talent is engaged in African innovation.
